Weather in Woodland

Locking mailboxes available

Mail theft and identity theft is the number one crime in Woodland, according Police Chief Cory Johnson. After persisting for nearly 20 years, it’s time to stop these theives! If they drive into Woodland and see nothing but locking mailboxes, they’ll move on. If you don’t have a locking mailbox, the City is offering a great deal. Email the Clerk at [email protected] to order yours! Deadline for ordering is Monday, November 22. Don’t miss out!

(If you’ve already responded to letters sent in October, you’re all set! This is a reminder for those who have not yet ordered mailboxes.)

The mailbox is on display in the Council Chambers at City Hall. The cost for mailbox, two keys, tax and house numbers is about $140.00. Installation service and/or construction of a new, cedar mailbox stand is available through the City’s Public Works team. Contact the Clerk at [email protected] or 952-358-9936 to order the mailbox, installation, and stand. The goal is to install posts for new stands before the ground freezes.
